Abby Goodrich recently completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. As a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Rolling Hills Recovery Center.
Abby’s internship at a nonprofit mental health agency allowed her to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, primarily serving clients utilizing Medicaid. During this time, she also received formal training in play therapy. Abby employs person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based interventions, believing strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship to instill change.
Her passion for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment is personal, having seen its impact on her own family. This experience fuels her dedication to helping others achieve recovery.
A fun fact about Abby is that she was born in Saranac Lake, NY, one of the coldest regions of New York State.
